Community Guidelines

SnipForge is built on collaboration, respect, and shared learning. These guidelines ensure the platform remains safe and useful for everyone.
1. Be Respectful
Treat fellow community members, developers, and moderators with respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, and toxic behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate account termination.
2. Quality Uploads
When sharing community uploads (themes, configs, translations):
- Provide clear descriptions: Explain exactly what your addon does.
- Include screenshots/videos: Visual proof is required for UI redesigns and themes.
- Write installation instructions: Don't assume the user knows how to merge your changes.
- Credit the original author: Always link back to the original script and explicitly state that it is required.
3. No Piracy or Leaks
SnipForge is NOT a platform for sharing paid scripts for free. Any upload that attempts to distribute full, unmodified, or "cracked" versions of paid resources will be deleted immediately, and the uploader will be permanently banned.
What IS allowed: A CSS file modifying the look of a paid UI, a customized `config.lua`, or an expanded translation file (`en.json`).
4. Security First
Do not upload obfuscated code (e.g., Escrowed files or manually obfuscated Lua). All community addons must be open-source and readable so users and moderators can verify they do not contain malicious code, webhooks, or IP loggers.
5. Constructive Feedback
When commenting or reviewing, keep it constructive. "This is trash" is not helpful. "This would be better if you fixed the alignment on line 42" is helpful.
